Mills Albert Wellington Lions Name Side to take on Manawatū

After back-to-back wins to kickstart the season, the Mills Albert Wellington Lions have named their side to take on the Manawatū Turbos in their charity match this Sunday.

This weekend marks a double-header at Porirua Park, with the Wellington Pride going up against the Manawatū Cyclones, before the Lions look to earn their sixth consecutive win against the Turbos.

Wellington Lions Head Coach Alando Soakai has made some key changes to his squad this week, with two potential debutants hoping to make impact off the bench.

The front row remains unchanged; however, after an impressive showing last week, Caleb Delany moves to the starting lineup at lock. Young Loosie, Dominic Ropeti, also moves to the starting lineup this week, with Brad Shields providing impact off the bench.

Julian Savea moves back to the midfield this week, alongside Riley Higgins, returning from injury. Callum Harkin gets his first start at fullback, after an impressive showing against Taranaki last week.

Loosehead prop, Kazuki Kato, looks set to earn his debut off the bench, alongside Nui Muriwai, coming in as halfback cover for the Lions.

The Mills Albert Wellington Lions take on the Manawatū Turbos in Round 3 of the Bunnings Warehouse NPC this Sunday, 2.05pm at Porirua Park.
